Chef Troy Ellis

A native of the Philadelphia area, Troy Ellis discovered his love for food at an early age.  His parent's affinity for cooking enhanced his desire to learn more.  Troy was especially inspired by his late father, Hillard Ellis, who was a creative and daring cook in his own right.  He knew that his ultimate happiness would lead him into the world of culinary arts. 

Troy's journey to the kitchen first took him to Towson University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, while playing collegiate football.  After graduating from Towson and entering the workforce as an IT professional, Troy realized something was missing.  He decided to attend Baltimore International College's, School of Culinary Arts.

After graduating, Troy decided to share his passion and talents by starting Troy's Taste.  Chef Troy strives to create new and innovative dishes while also putting creative spins on classic favorites.   He considers himself a well rounded chef, taking ingredients and flavors from around the world and infusing them into his food.  Troy is currently working on his first cookbook.
